Facing limited physical infrastructure, UCI Health successfully expanded patient access by strategically implementing virtual health services. This session will present a framework fo optimizing ambulatory space using virtual care template, enabling expansion of clinical teams without requiring additional physician space, as well as highlight the importance of a strong clinical and administrative dyad partnership in the successful execution of these initiatives. Participants will learn how creating virtual-exclusive templates allowed the faculty to work outside the clinics and create 20% additional space for additional faculty hires, leading to enhanced patient access, increase clinical volumes, and drive financial performance while improving patient and provider satisfaction.
