I have been a healthcare administrator for 26 years. I have been the administrator for Florida Cardiac Consultants for the past 22 years. Both practices are physician owned and operated. My current practice has 5 cardiologists and 10 physician extenders. Florida Cardiac was consistently an MGMA better performing practice until we discontinued filling out the surveys a few years ago. I have witnessed some dramatic changes in medicine with regards to reimbursement, technology, government regulations and government programs during the past 22 years.
