Senior Business Manager and Division Administrator

Delores McNair is the Division Administrator and Senior Business Manager for the Departments of Neurosurgery and Orthopedics at Duke University Health System, overseeing operations across all Spine sites. In this role, she manages the division’s overall operations, including the Spine Clinical Research Unit, finances, budgeting, productivity, and fellowship programs. She plays a key role in strategic planning, recruitment, revenue management, and personnel oversight, serving as an administrative liaison with Duke Health System leadership.
Delores is an active member of multiple committees, including the Spine Co-Management Operations, Planning, Quality, and Executive Committees at Duke Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, and Duke Regional Hospital. Additionally, she serves on the Duke University Hospital Neurosciences and Duke Raleigh Hospital Patient and Family Advisory Councils. She is also a dedicated member of MGMA, NERVES, and the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Group on Business Affairs (GBA) Professional Development Committee.
With a deep passion for mentoring and volunteering, Delores has been actively engaged in community advocacy for over a decade. She dedicates extensive time to supporting health services for cognitively impaired and geriatric populations and mentoring individuals through formal partnerships, including with MGMA. As a keynote speaker and leadership coach, she inspires and guides others in their professional growth. Delores is also the founder of a 501(c)(3) organization centered on her philanthropic passions.
Before transitioning into healthcare administration, Delores worked in Hematology-Oncology and is MLS certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology, specializing in hematology.
