Biography
Robert G. (Bob) Bush, FACMPE
Bob was recognized as a Certificed Medical Practice Executive in the spring of 2011 and was granted his Fellowship in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) in September of 2013. Mr. Bush has been a very active volunteer for Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) in the Certification, Fellowship and Examination committees, in addition to serving on the team of fellows who revised the Body of Knowledge. Mr. Bush’s varied employment history has included Private Club Management, finance and treasury management and health care. Mr. Bush began his healthcare career working for LifePoint hospitals as a physician recruiter for hospitals in Kentucky, Mississippi and Alabama and then joined LifePoint again in 2017as vice president of physician services at Providence Health in Columbia, SC. Between his LifePoint stints, he joined Methodist Health System in Dallas, Texas managing their employed physician group, growing the group from 9 providers and 4 offices to over 150 providers, 50+ offices and over 500 employees. Bob was an integral member of the Management Team leading Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Florida during and post-impact of a direct hit of Category 5 Hurricane Michael. Most recently, Bob was the Chief Executive Office of The Austin Diagnostic Clinic, a 140-provider multispecialty group in Central Texas. Mr. Bush has also served on numerous national and regional board of directors including the American Heart Association, Kairos prison ministry, the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters and as a member of the City Council of Mayfield, Kentucky. Bob’s mission to give back to the community and organizations that have given him the opportunity grow and learn. ‘those who have been given much, much is expected.’
