Michele Szkolnicki is an accomplished Healthcare Executive with over 25 years of healthcare leadership experience that spans for-profit, not-for-profit, private equity, and academic settings in hospital, ambulatory and medical practice environments in both adult and pediatric medicine. Michele’s leadership style is differentiated by her exceptional talent management and mentorship and by her ability to inspire and motivate executives, teams and individuals around a shared vision.
Michele is currently the Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at the Penn State Health, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey PA. Prior to Penn State Hershey, She was the Chief Operating Officer of the Crozer Keystone Health Access Network. Previous to Crozer, she worked at the Tenet Healthcare - Philadelphia hospitals in COO and CEO roles. Before joining Tenet, Michele held several healthcare leadership roles including: Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer for CTCA in Philadelphia, Chief Operating Officer for Drexel University Physicians, and several senior management and nursing leadership roles with the University of Pennsylvania Health System. She launched her career with nursing roles in clinical research and direct patient care.
Michele has a Bachelor in Nursing degree from Neumann University and a Master in Education degree from St. Joseph’s University. Michele serves on several boards, including the Neumann University Board of Trustees, and Strayer University Pennsylvania Education Program Advisory Board. Michele is board-certified as a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), and as a Medical Practice Executive (FACMPE) with the Medical Group Management Association. Michele has served as a volunteer faculty member with Drexel University’s Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) for several years, received Neumann University’s John Neumann Alumni Award in 2012, and the Nursing and Health Sciences Distinguished Alumni Award in 2017.
