Many organizations with a tiered leadership model recognize the need for competency-based leadership roles yet have yet to integrate them effectively into a structured leadership development model. From 2022 to today, PeaceHealth Medical Group Oregon region successfully launched an operational leadership development initiative encompassing anonymous self- and leader-evaluation tools, SWOT analyses, clearly defined leadership competencies aligned with job responsibilities, and quarterly peer-level training retreats. In this interactive session, attendees will learn from PeaceHealth’s experiences, discussing successes and challenges in creating a comprehensive in-house program supporting leadership growth from supervisor through director levels. A group discussion will provide additional opportunities to exchange ideas and ask questions.
Learning Objectives:
Create clearly defined leadership competencies and tasks tailored to various roles, including supervisor, manager, and director
Design comprehensive assessment methods to effectively evaluate leadership performance against established competencies
Develop a meaningful leadership development program integrating personal development plans, training retreats, and other opportunities for growth
